Blockchain and Land Transactions: ANCFCC at the Forefront of Digitalization.

The National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre, and Cartography (ANCFCC) is initiating a new revolution in managing land transactions in Morocco with the launch of a unique platform based on blockchain technology. This innovative project, which follows the digitization of payments in 2019, marks a significant step towards complete and transparent digitalization of the sector.

Why Blockchain?

Blockchain, a decentralized digital ledger, ensures the integrity and security of land transactions. It offers numerous advantages for the sector:

  • Reduction of Disputes: Tamper-proof data limits property conflicts and fraud risks.
  • Accelerated Procedures: The platform centralizes all stakeholders (notaries, buyers, sellers, and tax authorities), simplifying administrative processes.
  • Increased Transparency and Security: Real-time access to reliable information enhances stakeholder trust.

An International Example to Follow

With this initiative, Morocco aligns itself with pioneering countries like Sweden and Georgia, where blockchain has reduced property transfer delays and attracted more investors through secure registries.

A Strategic Modernization

By adopting blockchain, ANCFCC positions Morocco as a regional leader in digital transformation within the land sector. This ambitious project aims to enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and ensure modern and secure management of real estate transactions.
