Named after Kimpa Vita, an anticolonial resistance leader and prophetess of the Kingdom of Kongo, La KIMPAVITA Festival annually highlights significant African female figures. This year, the festival shines a spotlight on Fatima Al-Fihriya, a Moroccan pioneer and founder of Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest existing university in the world.
